Hello! My name is Blessing, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University and obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas At San Antonio. During my time at UTSA, I was able to serve at a non-profit organization that houses teen mothers previously in the foster care system and volunteered at a bereavement center. While serving multiple populations, an eclectic approach is often used to meet the need of each client. Though I operate from a person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and expressive arts therapy are familiar modalities to me. In addition, I have co-facilitated groups that focused on expressive arts, play therapy and provided parenting classes to low-income populations. In therapy, I believe it is important to empower you to make your own decisions and to walk beside you through the challenges and triumphs of life.
