Bonnie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She specializes in working with people who want support with their trauma, depression, or anxiety symptoms. She also works with people experiencing intimate partner violence, grief, and other difficult life transitions. Her goal is to provide a safe and inspiring environment for clients to discover what they need to improve their quality of life. Bonnie has extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is evidence-based to help eliminate trauma symptoms for clients. It can also be life changing for other diagnoses, including anxiety and depression. EMDR requires specific training that not all therapists in West Virginia have. Bonnie was born and raised in Pennsylvania and has been living in West Virginia since 2012. She spent time in New Mexico and California with AmeriCorps, which is what led her to the field of counseling. She enjoys teaching as an adjunct professor for the counseling department at WVU. In her free time, she is going on adventures with her husband and son.
