However, life changes and transitions can leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or even stagnant--afraid to move forward. Whether you are adjusting to a new role, relationship, location, or season of life- change can feel scary and isolating. Does that sound like you? Are you hesitant or feeling resistance to change? The Soft Life Counseling is here to help you through this new adventure, and maybe not make it feel so scary and may help you have the confidence to move forward. The Soft Life Counseling works with individuals undergoing life transitions, whether you are military navigating retirement, career transition, or separation. Or a pregnant mom who is nervous, anxious, and scared about what it means to bring new life into the world. Maybe you want to process trauma that caused this pivot in your life and really want to be able to move forward. Or maybe you are worried about doing something wrong as you go into uncharted territory. Regardless of your hesitations and fears at The Soft Life Counseling, we often see great progress with clients with only several sessions. I'm happy to help navigate a new and sometimes exciting time in a person's life and love being able to support them and celebrate the wins within the transition. My therapeutic speciality consists of working with women experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma; expectant and postpartum moms navigate new parenthood and female veterans who have experienced trauma while in service, phase of life issues, and experiencing career and life stressors. Many people experience the mental perils of daily life and it can weigh heavily on you mentally and physically. But you are here and actively deciding if therapy is for you, deciding if you still want to live in a way that is no longer serving you or protecting you. I'm here to tell you, that you can do this. You can make positive changes, and you can stick with them. The work we do together is aimed at building self-esteem, establishing boundaries, creating work/life balance, and identifying ways to manage stress and anxiety.
