Self-esteem and life satisfaction have been impacted by the culture of social media and the expectations of perfection, busyness, and a focus on the future rather than being in the moment or simply enjoying life. Our current culture emphasizes success, committed relationships, productivity, and "having it all together." Life just isn't that simple and sometimes we need more support, coping skills, or to give ourselves some grace. I have a MA in Counseling and provide DBT informed skills and other third wave cognitive behavioral therapies; I am trained in EMDR, and seamlessly integrate skills with a client focus on mindfulness, balance, and improved functioning. I am Health At Every Size (HAES) aligned and body-neutral in my approach, integrating community and connection, while teaching a wide range of coping skills effects lasting resilience. I utilize mindfulness, guided meditation, work with my clients to build healthy coping skills, and integrate a variety of creative techniques.
