Introduction

As children, play is how we live our lives, interact with our environment, and communicate our thoughts, feelings, and passions. Oftentimes the stresses of life, relationships, job pressures, traumas, and losses make us forget how to play, how to explore, and seek growth. Playful Healing represents the ability in all of us to return to a place of curiosity and wonder, to heal from the traumas we have sustained, and to find contentment and joy in how we live our lives. Wherever you find yourself today, I would be honored to help you find your way back to your playful spirit. One that encourages you to grow, explore, and understand yourself. Gently pushing you to be the best you, you can be. I seek to support you in developing the skills to overcome obstacles that are in your way, conquer hills you aspire to climb, and strengthen relationships you hope to create. I believe you are the expert on you. In counseling I will focus on helping you increase awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Using mindfulness, and a contemplative approach, I will help you understand your goals and determine a path to get there. Each person is different thus my counseling approach will be individualized and tailored to your needs. I work with children, teens, and adults, individually and as a family. Unique approaches are necessary for each age group to provide developmentally appropriate opportunities to explore experiences and navigate healing. Depending on each person’s needs, I apply principles of Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Contemplative Therapy.
