Introduction

As a trauma and sex therapist, I am interested in helping clients reconnect to themselves. Experiencing trauma can make the mind and body feel like unsafe places to exist; as a result, many survivors work hard to leave their bodies by numbing and isolating. Through gentle exploration and curiosity, I hope to create a space where clients can practice new modes of relating to themselves and others after trauma. I am conscious of how systemic oppression impacts my life and my clients’ lives; because of this, I believe that spaces to experiment, practice, and challenge oneself are more important than ever. I am a certified prolonged exposure therapist, which can be a useful modality for PTSD. My approach as a therapist is direct, creative, and collaborative. I believe that warmth and humor are important parts of how I show up authentically in the therapeutic space. My specialities include: • Queer and trans identity development • Interpersonal trauma • Sexual pain, shame, and kinks • Disability and chronic illness • Community violence I offer in-person and virtual appointments and see individuals 16 and older. "Welcome the spring, the summer rain Softly turned to sing again Welcome the bud, the summer blooming flower Welcome the child whose hand I hold Welcome to you both young and old We are ever new, we are ever new." -Beverly Glenn-Copeland, "Ever New"
