Brie Chang (she, her) is a licensed clinical social worker in Washington state. Her work has a focus on trauma recovery, stress management, self-exploration, life transitions, and gender/sexuality related issues. Brie uses integrative psychotherapy to address affective, cognitive, behavioral, and physiological systems within a person. Interventions have an emphasis on mindful compassion, embodiment, lived experience, enhancing your relationship with yourself, and recognition of the human condition in all its complexity. Brie’s theoretical orientation draws from cognitive neuropsychology, clinical bodywork, nursing science, existential-phenomenology, metaphysics (Abrahamic religions, Zen Buddhism, Chinese internal alchemy, Druidic traditions), and intersectional feminism. Brie’s orientation questions and challenges prevailing social, cultural, religious, and economic narratives while reconnecting with inner strength, ancestral wisdom, holistic perspectives, and personal values. Brie is also a PhD student at the University of Washington with a research interest in substance use disorder treatment. For more on Brie's background: https://tinyurl.com/BrieChangCurriculumVitae
