I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana with over nine years of experience in mental health counseling. I am also licensed in the state of Texas. I received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana State University - Shreveport and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with adult clients from various backgrounds with acute and chronic mental illness, as well as dual diagnosis. My specialty includes assisting clients with mood disorders, life transitions, self-esteem, anger management, stress management, grief and loss, and interpersonal relationships. I provide a warm, safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment that allows clients to be their most authentic selves as we embark on a therapeutic journey. The therapeutic relationship is essential as we journey as I believe it fosters growth. On this journey, I am committed to assisting clients in pushing past their fears and gaining new perspectives that will enhance their life, bring new insights, hope, and meaning. I approach therapy from a person-centered lens but integrate other counseling styles based on each clients’ individual need. I employ a collaborative approach where I work with clients to explore and define their problems as each client provides invaluable insight into their own life. Providing therapy and empowering clients is a true passion of mine. I find it very rewarding and count it as an honor and privilege to walk alongside clients on their therapeutic journey.
