My name is Brittany Schwarten and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working as a Psychotherapist for nearly 10 years in a number of different settings including outpatient, in-home, and the hospital setting (IOP, PHP, and Inpatient). My early years were spent in a Child-focused clinic working with children as young as four through young adult. I also spent time working with parents in a collaborative nature to bring more peace and understanding into the home. Currently, I work prodominantly with preeteens, teens, adults and elderly. I specialize in three areas: Mood disorders (depression, bipolar, etc...), Anxiety related issues (general anxiety, panic, phobias, ocd, social anxiety, etc...), and Borderline Personality Dsorder; I also have vast experience working with AHDH, High Functioning Autism, and Trauma related issues. I am a Certified- Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (C-DBT) and knowledgeable in CBT related treatments. Both of which are the basis for most of my treatment methods. I aim to meet my clients were they are at in a validating and accepting way while also provide skills and differing perspectives to encourage growth and change.
