I believe each client possesses the wisdom and resilience they need to be successful in therapy. My job is to help you connect the threads of your story in a way that shines light on what needs to change, and to suggest evidence-based steps to make those changes. I'll ask good questions, listen fully and offer tangible ways to meet your goals. I'll bring respect and genuine curiosity to our sessions, always remembering that you are in charge of the direction of therapy. During the past 13 years, I’ve had the honor of supporting hundreds of people on their journeys toward mental health, working in an intensive outpatient program at a psychiatric hospital, as a therapist in private practice, and as a therapist in a college counseling center. While I specialize in working with young adults who are experiencing situational stress, major transitions, difficult or traumatic experiences, anxiety, and depression, I have interest and expertise in working with adults of all ages. I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Social work in 2008. My undergraduate degree is in English and French, from Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio. Family and the outdoors are my passions. I live with my husband, two girls and three dogs in Travelers Rest, SC, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
