Great to meet you! I'm a prior service military veteran, a National Certified Counselor. and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, as well as, an EMDR-Trained clinician. I have a great deal of experience working with adolescent, adult, geriatric, and veteran populations, living with addictive and substance use issues, mood and personality disorders, trauma, and with those in acute crisis. As well as, with individuals seeking growth and personal betterment. A bit about my approach to therapy: I tend to identify as an integrated clinician; drawing from multiple theoretical orientations and approaches, to develop individualized and tailored treatment, based on the needs and goals we jointly identify. I am Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained. I like to work within that framework; while also integrating other modalities within treatment, in an individualized and specialized manner to meet your specific needs. What you can expect from our first session: From our first to final session, I will provide a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space for us to work in. Initial sessions will consist of gathering information and developing context of one's medical and psych background, as well as your unique life circumstances. Following information gathering; we will jointly develop goals for treatment and explore target issues; assisting you via education and stacking your "toolbox" with skills to mitigate and manage targeted areas of treatment.
