Introduction

“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.” – Stephen R. Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People When we seek to better understand ourselves and our behavior, it often feels easier to explore these topics in a safe, empathetic environment. The therapeutic relationship I strive to create is unique in that it offers clients the opportunity to be truly heard and understood—without judgment, and without fear. I began my career 18 years ago in community mental health and substance abuse treatment centers, specializing in dual diagnosis (substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions). Since then, I’ve worked in group private practice and ultimately transitioned fully to telehealth. My approach to therapy is integrative and individualized—I draw from a variety of treatment modalities and theoretical frameworks, tailoring my methods to meet each client’s unique needs. I provide a supportive, empathetic space for clients to explore current concerns, past experiences, and future goals. Having worked with a wide range of individuals, I pride myself on my ability to build strong therapeutic rapport and foster meaningful, lasting change. Choosing self-pay offers several advantages, including the flexibility for you and your therapist to set your own treatment goals, session frequency, and duration. It also allows for deeper exploration of sensitive topics without concern about third-party access to your personal information.
