Introduction

Caitlyn Dorsey is a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, a Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, author, and motivational speaker. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider (CCTP) and specialized provider in Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy. After years of traveling, immersing in cultures, and working with diverse populations including veterans, involuntary psychiatric patients, victims of domestic violence, community corrections, and individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health concerns, she was led to the transformational work she does today. Caitlyn implements a holistic approach in counseling and meets her clients where they are at with therapeutic modalities including Humanistic Counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Counseling among others. She merges traditional counseling techniques with holistic modalities to assist her clients in facilitating lasting changes and authentic healing. Caitlyn is also a professional member of NAADAC, IAMFC, and is an Advisory Council Member of the Region 12 Opioid Abatement Council. Caitlyn has several state (COPA approved) and national level (NAADAC approved) training programs she created for therapists and peer coaches continuing education. She holds additional certifications from the American Red Cross in Disaster Mental Health and Disaster Cycle Services, NCTSN Psychological First Aid, and is Impaired Driving Education Program trained. She has been featured on iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, in books/magazines, and facilitated statewide training as an expert in her field.
