Hi, my name is Caitrina Fragoso, and I am a psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy, holding a License as a Professional Counselor (LPC). I tailor my approach, integrating validation, psychoeducation, and pop culture references into sessions, drawing from eclectic methodologies to suit individual client needs. As a Latina, I empathize with the balance between preserving cultural traditions and adapting to US societal norms. Therapy offers a space to heal societal pressures, childhood, and generational traumas. I conduct both in-person and virtual sessions. My professional journey spans diverse age groups, family dynamics, and therapy groups, focusing on anxiety, trauma, veterans, and the Latinx community. I advocate regular self-care, personally finding solace in hiking and family time. Raised in Chicago, my heritage intertwines Mexican and Puerto Rican-Chilean roots. Despite language barriers due to past discrimination, I pursued a Sociology degree at Saint Xavier University and later obtained a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My expertise lies in trauma, severe mental illness, anxiety and compulsive spectrum disorders, with a focus on veterans. I strive to support individuals through their struggles, offering a space for healing and growth.
