Whether you realize it or not, you are navigating a world that was not built with you in mind. Most of us possess some aspect of our identity that is not fully embraced or may even be invalidated by the world. This may be something related to our race, sexual orientation, mood state, religion, occupation, parenthood status, etc. or any intersections therein. Left unchecked, invalidation from the world can turn into negative thoughts and behaviors that negatively impact our personal and professional lives. I seek to help others correct these unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, so that may navigate the world a bit easier. I am a Clinical/Health Psychologist based at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I use empirically-supported treatments to help my clients make lasting changes using the shortest number of sessions. I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), but utilize multiple other approaches (e.g., DBT & ACT) to help clients meet their goals. It is completely possible to turn the volume down on the negative thoughts and the unhelpful behaviors. After working with me, many of my clients report that their negative thoughts don't have the impact on their behaviors as before. They are able to change the behaviors that maintain anxiety, depression, & other concerns. Let's work toward the same for you.
