I am passionate about my work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am also a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist. In a comfortable, supportive and relaxed atmosphere, I provide brief and longer term psychotherapy to individuals and families. My style is collaborative, active and engaged, as I believe change happens within the relationship. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth you're striving for. My goal is to empower you to uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve the challenges we meet in life. I work collaborative with clients to identify which tools and skills can provide relief and positive change. Using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy with focus on connecting with the body, developing skills to increase self regulation and thereby greater sense of control in life. No more being hijacked by old trauma or old patterns. I use 'homework' experiments, handouts and lots of education to help understand what's going on. My approach is based on a humanistic perspective with focus on personal strengths. I support you in uncovering long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions, which may be holding you back from experiencing a more meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or ready to move in a new direction, I look forward to working with you. I work with a range of emotional and behavioral issues that span from PTSD/Trauma, depression, anxiety, grief counseling, and beyond. I am looking forward to supporting your process towards healing. I graduated from San Jose State University in California in 2005 with a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. I have since then worked in outpatient settings with a wide range of clients.
