Candy later returned to her hometown of Alexandria where she now resides as a board approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Candy is an experienced clinician providing client centered therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She utilizes person centered, evidenced based approaches tailored to meet each client’s individual needs. Candy incorporates a range of treatment interventions including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused techniques, and mindfulness. This approach creates a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment to explore client’s unique experiences and help create positive change. Candy upholds the belief that the journey to transformation begins from within, every voice should be heard, and imperfections should be embraced. Candy is not only a skilled clinician, but she has a passion for the development of future professional counselors. She provides supervision for provisionally licensed professional counselors and supports them while they develop the skills necessary to become competent and confident in their profession while obtaining their clinical license. Candy is a managing board member of We Care Behavioral Health LLC and actively supports local initiatives and community outreach in that role. In her spare time, Candy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, reading, and outdoor activities.
