Cara J. Williams is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) who relies on evidence-based strategies to support clients in various stages of life. She has devoted her 20+ years of experience to helping early adolescents, adults, and older adults through the use of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT). Ms. Williams earned her Bachelors Degree (BS) and her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from The Ohio State University. Her graduate training included a position in the LEND (Leadership Education in Neuro-Developmental Disabilities) program at the OSU Nisonger Center. Prior to joining CWW, Ms. Williams served as a Senior Clinical Consultant with Ohio Health in Ambulatory Care Management and with Ohio Health’s Gerlach Center for Senior Health. She has experience working at the OSU James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute and the OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center. Cara has also worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as an outpatient therapist where she was trained to provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy to children and families who have suffered abuse. Ms. William’s range of experiences make her a valuable resource to CWW clients. In addition to her broad scope of clinical expertise, Ms. Williams is also passionate about training new Social Workers and developing effective programs.
