Carla completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from University at Buffalo. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of counseling experience across a variety of treatment settings including VA, for-profit and community-based services. Currently, she provides treatment to adults, couples, families and groups in the following areas: Mood Disorders Personality Disorders Anxiety Disorders Physical, Sexual, Emotional Abuse Dissociative Disorders Non-Suicidal Self-Harm Behavior Anger and Stress Mgmt Relationship challenges Transitional events Phase-of-life changes Grief and loss Anxiety and depression Postpartum depression Life stresses In 2023, she will be completing comprehensive training in the area of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, wherein she will provide treatment addressing the mental health impacts inherent with this diagnosis and learning skills to manage in the adult population. She also specializes in late life diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder in women. Carla provides treatment utilizing empirically-based modalities, which means that all therapies have been researched and tested and found effective and valid. She utilizes a blend of treatment providing a holistic approach by exploring with the client and educating them about how mind, spirit and body are interconnected through client-focused and solution-focused therapies.
