Being a woman, a person of color, and a mother with two out of three children who identify with the LBGTQ+ community, I have firsthand experience with the challenges that the marginalized and disenfranchised face. My lived experience, combined with my education, serves as the foundation from which I empower others to understand and accept all of who they are and use that knowledge to walk confidently through life. My therapy style is relaxed and conversational while incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I typically work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, life changes/transitions, and women’s issues. I have over a decade of experience providing mental health services to women and teens from various backgrounds and ethnicities, as well as personal wisdom gained through a lifetime of triumph over tragedy. I enjoy drawing out people's life stories and working with them to write new narratives for their life and their future through therapeutic conversations, guidance, and affirming support.
