As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), my goal is to help, encourage, and empower people to step outside of their comfort zone and take a risk to achieve a goal that they thought was impossible. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where people can explore, grow, and be able to achieve their goals. I help clients develop meaning in their life, make sense of the past, and prepare for the future. I recognize that every client comes to counseling with a different starting point. As a counselor, I aim to help clients identify their barriers to change and how to overcome them. Through the use of evidence-based techniques, my clients learn how to cope with life’s challenges. I work with adults struggling with anxiety and depression. I use a variety of interventions, including person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and existentialism. I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I) with specialized training in substance use disorders. I have previously worked as a management consultant and understand what it's like to work in a stressful business environment. I am currently accepting new clients for Thursday afternoons and can see clients who live in Oregon. I do not take insurance and charge $200 for a 55 minute session. I can give you a superbill, if you would like to submit that to your insurance company.
