Introduction

ABOUT ME I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience with a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, attention deficit, trauma, and behavioral issues, amongst others. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross, a Master’s degree in Nursing from Yale University and a Post-Master’s Certificate from Hunter College. I specialize in psychiatric diagnosis, medication management, brief psychotherapy and holistic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health issues and behavioral disorders. My primary goal is to reduce distressing symptoms, enhance functioning, and improve the overall well-being of my clients. I will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan which may include therapeutic strategies, medication management, or lifestyle changes. SERVICES PROVIDED Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluations - When looking to make changes, growth, and transformation, one must uncover the roots of external symptoms. During this visit, I will get to know you, gather information, understand how you are feeling, and review current stressors. I want you to feel comfortable working with me in a collaborative way and together we will clarify your treatment goals and develop a plan that may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both. Psychiatric evaluations range between 60-90 minutes. The evaluation will occur at the start of our treatment and lays the framework for our work together. After the evaluation, the provider-patient relationship is established if we mutually agree that my practice is an appropriate place for your treatment. Follow-Up Sessions - range from 20-45 minutes depending on client needs. Supportive therapy - is offered with or without medication management. Medication Management - medication may often be a helpful tool in conjunction with other interventions including therapy or lifestyle changes. These visits include prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications. Whether you recently started psychiatric medications, are currently taking medications, or want to discontinue medication, we will work together to create a treatment plan to achieve your goals. IN-NETWORK INSURANCE COVERAGE I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield New York (formerly Empire), and Cigna. OUT-OF-NETWORK COVERAGE: My out-of-network pay rates are fee-for-service only and are based on the level of service provided and are comparable to other providers in the area. My services are frequently reimbursable if your insurance plan includes an out-of-network mental health coverage option. Please request a free initial consultation or contact me directly via phone or email with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
