Introduction

Hi, I'm Micki Miller, LCSW-C, CCTP Choosing yourself is not always easy. Life gets chaotic and often we feel that there is not enough time in the day to take care of our own needs- or even that it is selfish to do so. When you finally take that time for you, it is important to ensure that you’re working with someone who will help you on the path to where you want to be- without judgment. When working with my clients, my goal is to really see you for who you are, meet you where you’re at and, through natural conversation, work together to meet your goals. I find it a privilege to work with others; to help explore your strengths and build on them. It is my hope, through a combination of your experience and mine, that we work together to figure out what exactly your goals are, the barriers to achieving them and how you can overcome those barriers. Everyone deserves to find happiness and peace within the chaos that life can bring. I have vast experience working with clients that have experienced domestic and sexual violence, various relationship/parenting challenges, work transitions, anxiety and depression in clinical, school and hospital settings. I utilize a trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral, person-centered lens with which to help each individual. Aside from traditional talk therapy, I also enjoy helping others through various art modalities. I earned my Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
