Carolyn (she/her) works with individuals, couples, and families. Her approach is integrative, but grounded in a humanistic framework, believing strongly in the individual’s innate capacity to heal and the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. She believes that therapy begins with a good relationship and fit between counselor and client and works hard to establish trust and safety early on. She studies holistic approaches to treating a variety of mental health struggles including mood disorders, addiction and the impacts of traumatic experiences. She also has experience treating substance and alcohol use disorder and is supportive of multiple avenues to recovery including a 12-step framework.
