Hello! I am glad you are here. My name is Carrie and I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. My passion for social work and practicing as a therapist is fueled by meeting individuals as they walk through life’s joys and difficulties, while creating for them a welcoming and inclusive therapeutic space. Therapy is a personal journey and it is important to me that individuals feel accepted for who they are and what they bring to the therapeutic process. I have spent the majority of my career as a School Social Worker and have a particular interest in helping children, adolescents and their parents. I am committed to creating a caring, non-judgemental space for individuals to express their personal strengths, needs, and struggles. I am a proud ally for the LGBTQIA+ population and believe in the importance of continuing to grow in my knowledge of best practices in supporting the needs of not only this community but of other diverse populations as well, such as the BIPOC and Neurodivergent communities. I will use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy while I incorporate elements of play, art, narration, relaxation, education, and neuroscience. I am currently scheduling appointments during some weekday evenings and weekends. I accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Kansas Medicaid, and Private Pay. A Superbill can be provided upon request if I am out of network with your particular insurance plan. I offer a fifteen minute complimentary consultation, which will aid in determining my ability to assist with the presenting concerns. During this consultation, we will discuss what has led you to seek therapy for yourself (or your child), whether my availability pairs with your schedule, and any details related to insurance. To schedule a consultation, please contact me at: Phone: 620-309-3607 or Email: carriebrockllc@gmail.com or utilize the request appointment option on my website. My practice is located in downtown McPherson, Kansas at 121 W. Marlin St. Ste 301, inside the Warren Building.
