Introduction

My name is Cary Jowers and I have been practicing in the mental health field since 2010. I am licensed to practice in Louisiana. I have experience working with inpatient mental health, adults, adolescents, children, and. I have worked directly with young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. I have received education on perinatal mental health and will be working toward a certification in perinatal mental health. I have been an advocate for the importance of mental health awareness long before I became a therapist due to my own struggles with anxiety and depression during many stages of my life. After experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression I know the unique struggles that new moms experience. My hope is to partner with new and expecting moms to empower and support them through their transition. Being a new mom can be isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. My style of therapy is Solution Focused Therapy. I use cognitive behavioral and behavior modification techniques, as well as life coaching techniques to prepare for life transitions. I believe that each client is an expert on themselves and have strengths that can help them overcome problems. It is my honor to partner with you and see you become the mother you dreamed to be !
