Throughout my life, my unwavering commitment to helping others has been a central driving force. With over twenty-five years of experience in the helping profession, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous individuals on their journey towards positive transformation. My ultimate life's purpose centers around assisting others in navigating life's intricacies through a holistic and genuine approach. As a Certified Trauma Professional, I've actively showcased this dedication in my clinical practice. While working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, I recognized that trauma often served as the root cause of their challenges, and traditional talk therapy didn't always produce the desired outcomes. By integrating therapeutic modalities such as Brainspotting (BSP), EMDR, IFS, and Trauma-Focused CBT into my repertoire, I've significantly enhanced the healing process for my clients. Beyond my clinical work, I also serve as a workshop facilitator for the American Red Cross Services to Armed Forces program, further expanding my reach in assisting individuals facing unique challenges in the military community. Additionally, my roles as the National Community Service Coordinator for Alpha Chi Epsilon Sigma Social Work Sorority and as an adjunct professor teaching master-level social work students have heightened my ability to advocate for and educate others on critical mental health issues, societal social justice concerns, the empowerment of women and children, and the unique challenges faced by military service members and their families. In these positions, I have empowered individuals to unite their voices to bring about meaningful change. My unwavering passion for social justice, particularly in advocating for the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, fuels my tireless efforts to create lasting and sustainable change in our society.
