As human beings, we walk the planet with a complex matrix of shame, hurt, and resistance that can be peeled away like layers of an onion. With patient, careful, and non-judgmental guidance we can work to discover the deepest core of our beliefs, desires, and needs, expanding our stories and drawing meaning from our experiences. With this improved awareness, we can build tools and resources for addressing challenges, and perhaps more importantly, create a more peaceful relationship to those challenges. As a result, we become better at our relationships with ourselves and others. My approach is holistic and experiential, warm and collaborative, direct and gentle, combining talk therapy with somatic practices in mindfulness around breath, movement, touch, and embodied experience. My goal is to meet my clients where they are, with an open heart, curiosity, and a sense of humility and humor. I am extremely passionate about this work, continuously exploring new modalities of healing and therapy. I’m inspired by the tiny openings as much as the great ones, as we grow together in our relationship. I draw on many Somatic frameworks, Brainspotting, and that of Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic, and Hakomi.
