Cassandra Steinberg is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee, and has additional credentials as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2015 she graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. Shortly after, she obtained a position as an admissions counselor at Rolling Hills Hospital (RHH) and worked there for 2 years assessing for the need for psychiatric hospitalization. During her my time at RHH she worked towards her licensure and obtained licensure in October 2017. From there, she started practicing outpatient therapy in her first private practice while still working at RHH. In 2018, she started working at a Centerstone location in Nashville as an outpatient therapist full-time and put her private practice on hold. In that time, she learned how to work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. She participated in training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in January 2019. In March 2021 she completed the coaching required to market herself as EMDR trained. She left Centerstone in June 2021 ready to work in private practice again. Since then, she has completed two trainings on perinatal mental health. She has experience in working with clients who identify in the LGBTQ+ community. She works with clients from ages 13 to adults, focusing primarily on healing trauma, reducing depression and anxiety symptoms, and helping mothers and their family through the seasons of their lives.
