I understand the decision to seek therapy is oftentimes not an easy one, and I am grateful that you are taking this step. I am dedicated to providing a safe space instilled with compassion, trust, and empathy for each of my clients. I provide therapy through a holistic lens– encompassing mind, body, and spirit. I consider each of these components through my work and their unique role in each client’s life. My approach is tailored to fit the needs of the client and assist them in identifying patterns of thought and behavior in order to gain insight on their current self. I believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all" and each client deserves the opportunity for their therapist to carefully, and deliberately, consider the best approach to promote greater overall wellness. I have extensive experience working in community mental health where I treated various mental health issues prior to moving to the private practice sector. My specialities include work related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family dynamics, coping skills, and existential issues-- areas in which I have received additional credentialing and education. Additionally, I have earned certification in sexual assault prevention and advocacy, and suicide prevention. I am certified to provide trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and continue to pursue additional training in order to provide the most current treatment modalities for post traumatic stress and other mental health-related issues. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of South Florida. I am a registered mental health counselor intern (IMH #23686) in Florida, offering in-person and tele-health counseling sessions. I believe that a person's lived experience is sacred and I feel honored to be given the opportunity to listen and provide a space of understanding. I encourage you to take this next step in your journey.
