I have practiced in the mental health field as an LCSW for many years in different areas using a "generalist" perspective. I try to encompass biological, psychological, social/cultural, environmental, emotional and spiritual perspectives for the empowerment of the individual and betterment of that individual's life experience. My career as an LCSW has been in Rural and Community Mental Health, Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation for both women and men and I've also worked at a Medical Center. I have had a private practice in addition, both part-time and full-time, working with individuals and couples. As a generalist, "whole picture" thinking is so important when applied to the individual, family and friends and population at large. All are part of who we are and how we make sense of our lives.
