For more than 9 years I have been developing a specialty working with teens and adults to repair phase-of-life injuries, traumas, and persistent interpersonal and occupational troubles. I bring an open mind rooted in existential philosophy; I incorporate narrative methods to assist my clients in re-narrating experiences into useful, meaningful and life transformative stories. Some background that informs my relational skills includes 12 years teaching in secondary schools in California prior to becoming a therapist. I work with a sense of play, experimentation, collaboration and problem solving to help clients accomplish real and lasting change. I have dealt with considerable childhood adversity and loss and continue to build a skillset to help others through difficult times. At times in our lives we find we need to break through barriers, achieve growth and clarity, discover new insights. At other times we simply need to heal. I specialize in helping individuals to reinvigorate their journey in life by reshaping narratives that help to heal wounds of experience, and chart a course for continuing a life of meaning and growth.
