Dr. Coleman, a Licensed Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist, specializes in children and adolescents. She is an expert in neurodiversity, learning, mood, and behavioral concerns. An abundance of flexibility and warmth make her practice a safe place for kids to thrive. With over 20 years of experience in schools, inpatient, and outpatient settings, Dr. Coleman tailors her treatment to each client's specific needs. Skilled in addressing a wide range of symptoms and disorders, Dr. Coleman celebrates her clients' achievements and milestones along the way, collaborating with parents and valuing their partnership, as their child's journey is intertwined with their own. Dr. Coleman completed her BAs in both Psychology and Spanish at Southern Methodist University. Dr. Coleman taught high school Spanish before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a Ph.D. in School Psychology. She has practiced as a school psychologist in Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. While residing in North Carolina, she has worked as a school psychologist in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, as well as a Senior Psychologist in the child and adolescent units at a psychiatric hospital, treating patients ages 5-17. Outside her practice, Dr. Coleman enjoys spending time with her three boys and stays active through her passion for fitness. She finds joy in simple pleasures, such as watching Abbott Elementary or tossing a football with her kids, and long walks in nature, which help her stay connected to the things that matter most. This appreciation for life's everyday moments influences her empathetic approach when working with clients and their families.
