Introduction

Chanda Everhart is a mental health therapist affiliated with her own private practice, Healing from Within Mental Health Services. My undergraduate degrees are in Psychology, and I have a master's degree in Social Work, with a clinical concentration specializing in Mental Health, from The Catholic University of America (CUA). I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical mental health therapist for the state of Maryland, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the District of Columbia. I have experience providing mental health services to children, adolescence, adults, families, groups, and couples. I have worked within the school environment, outpatient private practice, and in-patient facilities. I use various evidence-based practices, as well as spiritual and holistic approaches that are specific to the needs of each client while empowering the client to be the best version of oneself. I give each client an active role in their treatment based on the client’s strengths, skills, and spiritual or religious beliefs.
