Chandra is a pre-licensed clinician, who earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2018. In 2021, she became a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Chandra also holds a master's degree in psychology with a Forensics concentration from University of Phoenix. With that education background, she has a passion for understanding the psyche and the behaviors of individuals. She has worked as an addiction counselor, mobile outpatient therapist, mobile family-based therapist, and psychotherapist since 2019. She has experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups. Chandra is passionate about many areas of mental health including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and couples counseling. The population best served by Chandra includes teens age 12 to 17 and young adults struggling with personality, identity, and sexuality concerns. Chandra has experience with clients in office, in-home, outpatient, and via teletherapy settings. These settings have allowed for a more diverse population of people and enhanced Chandra’s skills and approach in therapy. Chandra has a warm, inviting presence and uses active listening in all sessions with individuals. Chandra believes in a strength and reality-based approach in treatment. Through empathy, validation, support, and active listening, Chandra assists clients find strategies and techniques to assist with healing. Chandra utilizes CBT and other theories to help individuals learn to be self-aware and gain self-actualization. Her role is to help individuals to make decisions in their life to gain the happiness that they are looking for. Chandra is excited to be a guide to success for all individuals that she sees.
