Introduction

Hello, my name is Chantell, and I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Clinician. Fluent in English and Spanish. My therapy sessions are virtual, and I only provide services in the state of Florida. I have ample experience in helping individuals with stress and anxiety, past/current trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, supporting caregivers on parenting strategies, unhealthy relationships, low self-esteem, and self-love. I provide EMDR therapy and work with adults 18 years and older. I have provided trauma-focused individual therapy and facilitated support groups for grief and loss and supportive parenting skills for caregivers in community Mental Health agencies. I also facilitated psychoeducational groups for individuals who has experienced domestic abuse. I organized a support group named "The Self-Love Club" at a non-profit organization located in South Florida for women and men who experienced domestic abuse and toxic relationships. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. The therapeutic approach I utilize is Person (Client) Centered Therapy. The therapeutic modalities I utilize in therapy are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and on some occasions I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Treatment goals will be tailored to meet your unique and specific needs. Whether you choose to work towards self-awareness and insight or symptom-relief and improved function, the goal is to collaboratively work together to achieve it! “Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes strength, courage, and willpower. If you want to begin this journey, I am here to support and empower you in this process.”
