Hi there! My name is Chelsea McCarty, I am the proud owner and operator of Reflections Counseling & Wellness. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Drug and Counselor in the state of New Jersey as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am a trauma-informed counselor trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Using these approaches, I help clients understand why they are struggling and how to make changes to meet their goals. I work primarily with clients who experienced childhood trauma, individuals with chronic illness, and women striving to achieve balance. I believe in empowering my clients by building upon their strengths and holding a space that fosters self-efficacy. Above anything else, I value trust. For some clients, counseling is the most vulnerable relationship in their lives. Building rapport with my clients and creating an emotionally and physically safe space are of utmost importance to me.
