As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my focus is on creating collaborative relationships with clients based on a foundation of safety and trust. I am a rural clinician with the majority of services focusing on trauma, grief, stress management, anxiety and depressive disorders. After years of providing integrated services within primary care clinics, I am excited to offer more specialized services within the private practice setting. My goal is to meet each person where they are, taking time to explore unique goals for our time together. With a spotlight on illuminating and removing barriers, my hope is to help facilitate transformation and sustained healing. Work often focuses on healing from past wounds, while also finding healthier ways to cope with current stressors. We can explore changes that can be made to increase a sense of resiliency and engage in healthier relational patterns, with an emphasis on improved communication strategies and maintenance of boundaries for optimal self-care. The initial assessment process will include an integrative mind/body approach, with a review of the pillars of well-being (including sleep patterns, nutrition and physical activity). Offering client-centered services, I use a blend of treatment approaches including: EMDR, Insight-Oriented, Attachment-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based interventions. I have found that combining IFS-Informed & Attachment-Focused EMDR can often provide deep healing and I gravitate towards those modalities.
