My approach to therapy draws from a variety of fields, including mindfulness and mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral strategies and techniques, transpersonal psychology, Eastern wisdom and philosophy, existential psychology, psychodynamic perspectives, neuroscience-based treatment, and main principles of quantum physics. My main focus is on mindfulness, awareness, and consciousness as well as evidence-based methods, strategies, techniques, and processes. Mindfulness, awareness, and consciousness are at the heart of my approach to therapy. By becoming more present and attentive to our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, we can develop greater insight and clarity about our experiences and learn how to relate and respond to different situations in a more compassionate, skillful, and mindful way. This process can lead to a greater sense of inner peace, resilience, and well-being. By cultivating mindfulness and self-awareness, we can deepen our understanding of ourselves and our experiences, create a new pathway in our brain, and develop a greater sense of connection to the world around us. Through this transformative process, we can learn to move beyond habitual and conditioned beliefs in our subconsciousness manifested through our outer behaviors, and tap into our inherent potential for personal and spiritual growth. About Me: I have been practicing mental health counseling since 1997. I speak fluently in both English and Mandarin Chinese. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Transpersonal Psychology in which I was trained to provide mindfulness-based and integrative psychotherapy. In addition, I have two master’s degrees specialized in Community/Career Counseling and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, a National Certified Counselor, and a Board Certified TeleMental Health provider. I practice deep empathy to enter your world. I consider myself a facilitator to facilitate the positive change that you intend to make. My goal is to provide you with a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to discover and reconnect to your authentic self in which you get the power and strength to cope, heal, grow, and reach your full potential.
