I came to psychotherapy after being a client of psychotherapy myself. The process of therapy was a spiritual experience for me as I discovered things about myself, learned to be patient with myself and others and found resources to cope with adversity and to connect better with others. I have Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care & Counseling and a Master of Marriage & Family Therapy. I was trained in in-depth psychotherapy and enjoy exploring the deeper roots of presenting problems with a focus on uncovering practical solutions. As an ordained person, I worked as a hospital chaplain before becoming a full-time therapist. I was the former Executive Director of The Pastoral Counseling Centers of Tennessee and was a Diplomate in the former American Association of Pastoral Counselors. I work with clients with a variety of presenting issues and have experience with clergy, clergy families, and couples in crisis. I am open to working with people of all faiths, those with no identified faith and those who have been hurt by their faith tradition. I seek to be open and inclusive with all clients.
