I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California in 2006 and obtained my LCSW in 2017. With over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, I have gained invaluable insight across various settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, juvenile detention, community mental health, private non-profits, residential treatment, and family/juvenile law. My areas of specialty include anxiety, mild depression, adjustment and relationship issues, life transitions, and men’s issues. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each individual, drawing from a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused/Strength-Based approaches, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I often integrate elements from these approaches to create a personalized and flexible treatment plan. Common therapeutic interventions include cognitive restructuring (reframing), guided discovery, role play, journaling, thought records, and other stress-reduction techniques. I also incorporate a variety of strategic methods to help clients achieve greater balance and harmony in the present moment.
