Introduction

At some point in life, many of us face challenges that disrupt our sense of joy and purpose, whether it's coping with chronic pain, illness, trauma, navigating life transitions, or encountering other major stressors. These experiences can profoundly impact our sense of identity and leaving us somewhat disoriented. As a therapist, I am deeply committed to guiding my clients through these transformative moments, recognizing the intricate tapestry of their identities. I believe in the power of embracing and accepting all parts of oneself—the light and the shadow, the strengths and vulnerabilities. Rather than seeking to discard parts of ourselves that no longer serve us, I work with clients to honor and integrate every facet of their being. By acknowledging the complexities of their identities and the stories they carry, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. My approach is rooted in an intersectional perspective and an integrative blend of attachment and systems theory, recognizing the intricate connections between culture, identity, relationships, and environment. To best serve each individual, I incorporate various modalities such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Somatic interventions such as Expressive Arts. My primary focus is on young adults aged 19 and above, addressing issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationships, and the management of emotions.
