Much of my clinical experience is working with teens and young adults. More specifically, many of the youth I serve identify somewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. I seek to empower those who have traditionally felt powerless in systems that would like to keep them that way. I recognize we live in an unjust world, and we cannot always effect how others treat us, including whether or not they do so with respect; however, we can stand firm in knowing who we are, and we can love ourselves in spite of those who would call us into question. I strive to break down the traditional model of client & professional; instead, I recognize you as the expert of your life. I simply want to be a person with a person, engaged in a professional relationship that inspires reflection and growth, because YOU ARE WORTH IT! You are more than a set of symptoms or circumstances. You are a unique person filled with hopes and dreams. You have your own culture and identity. Your knowledge is built from your life experiences. My goal is to build a relationship in which you feel comfortable seeking answers to your own questions.
