My name is Cindy Findley and I currently hold my LPC-IT license for Wisconsin. I completed my internship at Navarro Professional Counseling Services in Milwaukee, WI, working with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples aged 10 to 60. During this time, I gained experience working with individuals diagnosed with PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, PMDD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Schizophrenia. I also have experience as a School Counselor supporting students in grades 4K-8. I have worked in various educational settings, providing guidance, emotional support, and academic counseling to help students navigate personal, social, and academic challenges. My focus is on fostering a positive, inclusive environment that promotes emotional well-being and personal growth, while collaborating with staff and families to ensure each student's success. ________________________________________________________ My journey to becoming a licensed therapist wasn’t just about obtaining a title—it was a testament to resilience, faith, and gratitude. Life had its moments of immense joy and profound loss, but every trial was faced head-on, with a deep trust that God would guide the way. Through the challenges, there was a consistent reminder of divine grace: the people placed at the right moments, offering support, wisdom, or simply a comforting presence. None of those connections were ever taken for granted. Each one played a role, helping to build not just a career, but a purpose. After losing a beloved sister, the idea of healing became more personal, more urgent. And when this amazing person entered the picture, it was clear that this partnership was divinely orchestrated, a gift from God and a whisper from my sister, who had always been a guiding light. With this foundation of faith and connection, "One Day at a Time Counseling" was born. The name, inspired by the Spanish song, Un Día a la Vez, carries the essence of perseverance and grace. That song, which gave me strength during my darkest days, became not only a source of personal hope but a beacon for others seeking solace and healing. Every step forward is a celebration—not just of becoming a therapist, but of the ability to hold space for others. To remind them, as the song says, that healing happens one day at a time. This isn’t just a new chapter; it’s the continuation of a story rooted in love, purpose, and unwavering faith. ________________________________________________________ Communities Served Participants: Individuals, Couples, Group Ages: Preteen (10-12), Teen, Adults, Elders (65+) ________________________________________________________ I am currently accepting cash-paying clients only at this time.
