Hello! I am glad you are here! I entered the helping profession of social work with my B.S.W. from Loyola Chicago in 2006, supporting teenagers who struggled with emotional regulation. In order to better support the systems that impacted the teens, I return to school in 2010 for my Master's In Social Work with a concentration of Community Health/Urban Development from University of Illinois at Chicago - School of Jane Addams. Since earning my graduate degree and ultimately my Clinical License in Social Work in both states of Illinois and Missouri, I have worked in many different levels of therapeutic care. These environments have included schools, clinics, residential programs and partial hospitalization programming. My approach has always been connection. In order to grow, evolve and heal, a strong therapeutic connection is needed. My strength-based and non-judgmental approach provides the safe container in sessions to explore and experiment with more effective thought processes, communication patterns, self-worth and ultimately decreasing uncomfortable and out of control feelings.
