Introduction

Are you feeling like you are not getting what you want out of life or your relationships? Or feeling the anxiety of being a new Mom? Hi, I’m Claire, a licensed social worker. When you’re with me, there is no judgment, just pure understanding and compassion. I specialize in working with transitions into motherhood, co-occurring disorders, addiction, body dysmorphia, relationship issues, trauma, postpartum anxiety, depression, and adjustment. It brings me joy to help individuals and couples find relief from their struggles and gain insight into their lives. Mothers can shape the future with their love, guidance, and strength. Witnessing their journeys, from the anticipation of a new life to the challenges of postpartum adjustment, fills me with awe and purpose. My expertise lies in supporting mothers through this transformative period, recognizing the unique emotional tapestry woven into each experience. The transition to motherhood can produce an overwhelming amount of feelings and unexpected twists. I am here to provide support, validation, and guidance as mothers navigate the uncharted waters of this profound journey. My approach is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings and learn new skills to manage their emotions. I also use evidence-based practices like CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness/meditation techniques. In addition, I have a special interest in helping clients who have experienced trauma. This work is best done in-person, so I’m happy to hold a space for you in our Catonsville office. My ultimate goal is to help clients develop healthy coping skills and a better understanding of themselves and their relationships. I’m very dedicated to helping my clients find peace and satisfaction in their lives. My hope is that we can come into sessions with an open mind and engage in transparent communication. As your therapist, I’m here to make this process as comfortable as possible for you.
