Do things feel “off” in your life or relationship? Past trauma can rear its head in the present moment and prevent you from experiencing the deep connection that you crave with others. You may feel “stuck” in patterns that are out of alignment with your goals and values. You wish to feel emotionally lighter and calmer, to relate to your partner more peacefully and lovingly, and, overall, to be the best version of yourself. In relational work, I focus on helping partners develop the communication and emotional regulation skills needed for authentic dialogue, so they can achieve compromise and harmony. I help couples hit the “pause” button on dead-end arguments. In session, we are going to slow things down and figure out what’s really bothering you. During our busy lives, we might not ever stop to ask, “How could things be different? What would make this better?”. Couples therapy is a dedicated time to focus on creating a shared vision for happiness. Asking for help can be scary! You and your partner want to feel like you are on the same team. You want to feel like you are more than just roommates. Many couples find that having a neutral person in session helps them unlock new levels of understanding. I am glad that you are here. Please reach out for a free consultation if you think I could be of help. I receive clinical supervision from Dr. Robyn Flores, Ph.D., LMFT-S, LPC.
