Therapy can be daunting and intimidating to approach and consider, especially at the beginning when you are taking a chance on sharing your story with me, a stranger. I believe that you are the expert of your life, not me or anyone else, and I believe it is my job as the therapist to partner and collaborate with you on identifying, exploring, and pursuing your hopes, dreams, questions, and goals. There is no one size fits all in therapy, so I offer in my therapeutic style a foundation of openness, warmth, and genuineness as I actively explore and pursue what resonates and works best for you, all while welcoming and inviting your feedback and voice. I also endeavor to view you holistically as a unique person with intersecting and diverse identities who has thoughts, feelings, and experiences at the intra-personal, interpersonal, and systemic/community levels. I operate from a strengths-based, multicultural, feminist, and social-justice oriented approach, and I have worked with clients to address anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, religious trauma, oppression, career uncertainty, life-stage transitions, interpersonal relationships, life satisfaction, and navigating life during the Covid-19 pandemic. I will always seek to be my genuine self in the counseling space, and I hope to help you be your genuine self as we get real together!
