Introduction

As a seasoned marriage and family therapist, I employ Bowen and Gestalt therapy techniques to assist couples, families, groups, and sports mental performance clients. Gestalt Therapy techniques, coupled with a person-centered, structural, and Bowen family systems approach, focus on the holistic well-being of individuals. The therapeutic objective is to facilitate healing, revitalization, and the realization of inner strengths. Marriage and family therapists (MFTs) are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and family systems. They are licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family dynamics. About using insurance and Medical Necessity Criteria: When psychotherapy is included in a treatment plan aimed at enhancing an individual's functioning, particularly when facing a serious condition. Medical necessity criteria (MNC) comprise a set of medical & behavioral health standards/assessments utilized to assess whether a specific situation qualifies for the required services covered by behavioral and mental health insurance. Please note that pre-marital counseling, couples therapy, and family therapy are not covered by insurance and are offered on a private pay basis only. A superbill will be provided for clients to submit for reimbursement; however, insurance companies do not guarantee reimbursement.
