Introduction

I’m so happy you’re here, taking this courageous step of caring for your mental health. My name is Miriah Emmett and I am the founder of Bloom Joy, a private practice in North Carolina that works with clients to address mental health concerns, interpersonal conflict, family relationships, and behavioral health concerns. Like plants and the many things we find in nature, our mental health requires nurturing, attention, compassion, and kindness; and also like the many things we find in nature, without struggle we cannot grow, adapt, and learn. I offer individual and family sessions via telehealth for adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health presentations including but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, behavioral difficulties, trauma, and caregivers for children with chronic illness, substance use, and eating disorders. With my clients, I take a client-centered approach utilizing evidence-based treatment models when appropriate. My goal is to work with you, regardless of what life has thrown your way, to turn your own struggles into something beautiful and to foster resilience in the face of adversity. I’m excited for our journey together, to bloom and find joy.
